Scrunchup wins a trip to Google Zeitgeist 2011

A few weeks ago I submitted a 1 minute long video to Google’s Zeitgeist Young Minds competition explaining how Scrunchup is helping young people learn about web design and development.

The video recently got short-listed into the top 30, and yesterday it was announced that it had been selected as one of the 12 winning entries.

I’ve been invited to attend some interesting looking workshops, the Zeitgeist event, and 3 of the winners will be invited to speak on a panel.

The thing I’m most looking forward to is meeting the other winners. I’ve watched their videos and was really taken aback by some of the amazing projects people are running in different countries.

I’ll keep you updated on the event, and I’ll also be announcing some more good news in the next few days. There’s a lot of things going on behind the scenes which I’ll be able to talk about very soon, including some details on events I’m planning for young developers which I can’t wait to tell you about. Stay tuned!
